2008 Youth Advocacy Day

We gathered 300 youth in Des Moines on February 13th to advocate on a variety of tobacco issues, including local control for secondhand smoke policies. The day's activities included training on how to talk to your legislators, the key messages to deliever, a rousing speech from Representative Ako Abdul-Samad and a press conference on the Capitol steps. Then it was inside to let our voice be heard.
